• Bank opens as Farmers and Merchants Bank in Henderson, TN

1931
• Name is changed to First State Bank

1970
• Jack Bulliner is elected President, a position he will hold for 52 years.

2002
• Jim Clayton purchases First State Bank, his hometown bank.

2003
• Trust powers are granted and Wealth Management Department is created

2004
• Bank acquires Friendship Bank including offices in Friendship, Covington and Lexington

• South Jackson office opens

• Specialty Lending Department is created

2005
• Name is changed to Clayton Bank and Trust

• Headquarters is moved to Knoxville

• West Knoxville office opens

2006
• Cookeville office opens

2008
• $500 Million in assets

• North Jackson office opens

2009
• Farragut office opens

2010
• Clinton Plaza office opens

2011
• Alcoa office opens

2012
• Acquires the Farmers Bank of Lynchburg from the FDIC including office in Oakland

• Travis Edmondson elected CEO

• Kevin Kimzey elected President
