Branch Manager

Summary:  Oversee branch activities, including teller operations, general customer service activities, loan processing, collections, personnel administration and general upkeep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assigns duties and work schedules to ensure efficient functioning of branch
  • Trains employees in customer service and banking procedures
  • Interviews customers to obtain information and explain available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Account, Certificates of Deposit, savings bonds, and securities.
  • Rents safe deposit boxes, and allows customers access to safe deposit boxes
  • Answers customer questions and investigates and corrects errors
  • Ensures supply of money will meet business demand
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances
  • Ensures security procedures are being followed
  • Oversees fewer than 6 team members
  • Comply with all internal and external regulations
  • Other duties may be assigned


 
Assistant Branch Manager

Summary:  Assist Branch Manager in the provision of proper customer service and in the supervision of the staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assigns duties and work schedules to ensure efficient functioning of branch
  • Trains employees in customer service and banking procedures
  • Interviews customers to obtain information and explain available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Account, Certificates of Deposit, savings bonds, and securities.
  • Answers customer questions and investigates and corrects errors
  • Ensures supply of money will meet business demand
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances
  • Ensures security procedures are being followed

Customer Service Representative

Summary:  Provides a wide range of banking services to customers refers or arranges financial service to meet customers’ financial needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interviews customers to obtain information and explain available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Account, Certificates of Deposit, savings bonds, and securities
  • Rents safe deposit boxes and allows customers access to safe deposit boxes
  • Types account information obtained from customer into computer system
  • Open new accounts
  • Presents funds received from customer to Teller for deposit, and obtains receipt for customer
  • Process changes to existing accounts
  • Types, transmits, and receive funds transfer messages on computer to or from other banks and Federal Reserve Bank
  • Traces unpaid items to determine reasons for nonpayment and notifies customer of disposition
  • Sends letter to new account holders as a follow up and offering other bank services
  • Comply with all internal and external regulations
  • Other duties may be assigned


Teller

Summary:  Receives and pays out money, and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements
  • Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances
  • Enters customers’ transactions into teller machine to validate transaction and generates receipt for customer
  • Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with amount in teller machine
  • Explains, promotes, or sells products or services such as travelers checks, saving bonds, money orders, and cashier’s checks
  • Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, automated teller machines and night depository
  • Be familiar with CTR’s and SAR’s
  • Accepts loan payments
  • Has less than 1 year of experience
  • Comply with all internal and external regulations

Commercial Loan Officer

Summary:  Entry level commercial loan position in which officer interviews commercial loan applicants and obtains, prepares, and examines proper loan documentation. Manage basic commercial loan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interviews applicant and requests specified information for loan application
  • Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicant’s evaluation
  • Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan
  • Resolves uncertainties relating to customer application through inquiries with applicant or creditors
  • Approves loan within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee or another officer with appropriate approval authority
  • Comply loan package and facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms
  • Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy
  • Assures timely loan closing and funding activities
  • Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services
  • Confers with customers having delinquent accounts
  • Maintain customer relationships
  • Maintain portfolios of commercial loans
  • Comply with all internal and external regulations
  • Other duties may be assigned


 
Consumer Loan Officer

Summary:  Examines, evaluates, and authorized or recommends approval of customer applications for consumer loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interviews applicant to determine consumer loan requirement and gather pertinent information for loan application
  • Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicant’s evaluation
  • Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and asset evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan
  • Resolves uncertainties relating to customer application through inquiries with applicant or creditors
  • Approves loan within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee or another officer with appropriate approval authority
  • Comply loan package and facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms
  • Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy

Credit Analyst

Summary:  Analyze credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contacts banks, trade and credit associations, salespeople, and others to obtain credit information
  • Studies economic trends in firm’s industry or branch of industry to predict probable success of new customers and existing customers
  • Visits establishments to determine condition of plant and equipment and compare methods of operation with accepted practices in industry
  • Evaluates results of investigations, prepares reports of findings, and suggests credit limitations to management
  • Maintains database of customer credit and financial histories including spread sheets and corresponding narratives detailing the company’s financial performance
  • Comply with all internal and external regulations

Collection Manager

Summary:  Notifies or locates customers with delinquent accounts and attempts to secure payment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates collection activities and supervises collection staff
  • Responsible for obtaining updates and remaining current on legal issues
  • Responsible for proper documentation involved with collection of delinquent accounts
  • Provides regular reporting internally regarding collections, charge off and recovery activities
  • Mails form letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts
  • Confers with customer by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment
  • Contacts delinquent account customers in person
  • Records information about customer and status of collection efforts
  • Orders repossession, or turns over account to attorney
  • Receives payment and posts amount paid to customer account
  • Traces customer to new address by inquiring at post office or by questioning neighbors
  • Attempts to repossess merchandise, when customer fails to make payment
  • Comply with all internal and external regulations

Summary:  Responsible for processing, administration and closing of loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Loan Officers with extension of new loans
  • Answers routine customer questions
  • Records new applications and loans
  • Obtains credit information and ensures sufficient loan collateral
  • Established files and processes loan payments
  • Prepares periodic loan and/or credit reports
  • Comply with all internal and external regulations
